- 1. Heat up lead
- 2. Dunk the lead in the coating powder
- 3. The self-coated lead in the chosen colour is ready for use.
After cooling down the lead has a resistant coating. After the second step you can heat the lead up again to achieve a smooth surface.
All colours can be mixed to create an individual colour.
Our coating powder is based on a rubbery plastic which is very hard-wearing and durable. Most coated leads on the market have a coating made from similar material. Opposed to most cheaper (and also more expensive) competitive products our powder coating is fade-resistant and the colours have been chosen in practice and are not only standard tones of colour.
Our powder coating does not clump together and creates no bubbles if you have heated up the lead too strongly.
